Rally Bulgaria: This weekend (from 11th-13th July)
the 39th International Rally Bulgaria Championship will be held in
Borovets. It will commence with a ceremony on Friday 11th and will run
for two days. Visitors will congregate to watch this 736.86km
competition which will start & finish in Borovets.You can check out

Restaurant
of the month
|
|
The
Green King is situated opposite the gondola in Borovets. This
restaurant is open all year round and sees its fair share of diners
during the summer months where you can dine in the glorious sunshine. I
would highly recommend the spinach, egg & cheese dish, if you are a
fan of spinach of course. They serve a lovely 'Skara for Two'
which is 3 types of barbecued meats (pork, chicken, and beef) served on
a sizzling clay pot with caramelized onions, mushrooms and tomatoes.
Make sure you are hungry! A two course meal with beers for two people
was less than 40 Lev (20 Euro).

Rilski Zelnik Festival
|
 On Saturday 28th
June the annual Rilski Zelnik festival was held. One of the main events
is the competition for the best “Rilski Zelnik” dish which had people
of all ages participating. The proud winner was announced and after
this excitement the festival continued. Spectators enjoyed the music
& dancing from local & national Bulgarian groups. Obviously
everyone feasted on the delicious Rilski Zelnik for lunch and had a
beer or two to quench their thirst! |

Ski Lift Improvements in Borovets
|
|
One of the many
projects to improve the infrastructure in Borovets has started in the
Markudjika area.
Below you can see them replacing the old drag lift at
Markudjik-2 with a new four seat chair lift. This new chair
lift, which is scheduled to be completed for this season, will really
benefit this area and make accessing the high level skiing here much
easier for everyone and especially for beginners.

New Snow Cannons
|
 The water pipes have been
delivered and work has started on the new snow cannons which will be
placed on the Yastrebets ski runs for this years ski season. These
will be used when needed, mainly at the start & end of the season,
to ensure the pistes are in great conditions at all times. |

Build Update
|

The base layer
foundations have started on the apartment building this week. The
chalets are progressing nicely with the first of them having
reached ground floor and the concrete has been laid. Click on our construction
